Samantha Christensen

Samantha Christensen, 36, of Atlantic, Iowa, died Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Cass Health.

Samantha Jo Christensen was born on March 27, 1989, in Atlantic, Iowa the daughter of Rick and Amy (Fieblecorn) Christensen. She grew up in Kimballton and Lewis until she was 16 years old, and then moved to Atlantic while raising her son, Damion, and completing high school through the Atlantic Alternative School Program in Griswold.

She enjoyed working at the Atlantic News Telegraph and A Plus Designs in Atlantic for a number of years. When Samantha wasn’t working, she loved hanging out with her pets and family watching countless movies and her beloved Kansas City Chiefs.

Samantha will be remembered as a hard worker who lived with compassion and caring attitude for others. She would often take her son’s friends under her wings as well as any stray dog, cat or any animal in need of rescue. Her pets were known to be fat, happy and live well beyond their life expectancy.

Samantha is survived by her son, Damion Baker of Atlantic; father, Rick Christensen of Pennsylvania; sisters, Melissa Hawkins of Council Bluffs, IA and Samantha Jean of Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Amy Christensen.

A Celebration of Life Visitation with family present will be held Friday, March 6th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic.
