Lonnie Christoffersen, 71, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 27, 2026, at Cass Health.

Lonnie is survived by his wife, Helena Christoffersen; daughter, Kelly Brophy; mother, Ardyth Christoffersen; sister, Judy (Bill) Poland; brother, Randy (Frankie) Christoffersen; nieces and nephews; and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Christoffersen.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 9th at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic. A private family prayer service will be held prior to the visitation.

Lonnie had a huge heart for helping animals in need. In his memory memorials may be directed to Rusty’s Fund, 1008 West 6th Street, Atlantic, Iowa 50022.
