Lisa Hansen

Lisa Hansen, 65, of Atlantic, Iowa, formerly of Adair, died Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Cass Health in Atlantic.

Lisa Marie was born on December 1, 1960, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Raymond and Viola Marie (Jessen) Hansen. Lisa grew up in Omaha and Southwest Iowa before moving to Arizona. While in Arizona she was blessed with daughter, Tiffany. In 2000, Lisa and Tiffany moved to Atlantic.

Lisa met a boy in Bible School as a youngster and there were many twists and turns in life that eventually reunited her with Arnold Morris who was by her side for 16 years. The couple lived in Adair, and after Arnold’s death in 2014, Lisa moved back to Atlantic.

Lisa was one to keep busy in her free time, her go-to hobbies were crocheting blankets, working puzzles, watching Law & Order and CSI, playing Candy Crush, and if family was around the Domino game, Chicken Foot was sure to be played. She had a bit of a sweet tooth; a Dum Dums sucker never far from reach.

She will be remembered by her family as small but mighty! Always carrying her heart on her sleeve, Lisa was loving, and stern when she needed to be. Through all of life’s challenges, especially with her health, Lisa found a way to fight through. Even though she didn’t like to receive gifts, she was one that loved to give them to others and lit up when doing so.

Lisa’s caring heart and determined spirit will be missed by her daughter, Tiffany Hansen; grandchildren, Riley Hansen, Alex Rice and Beau Rice; siblings, Michelle Hadley, Linda, and Raymond “Junior” Hansen; her beloved pup, Sweet Pea; and many extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Hansen and Viola Downs; brother in infancy, Elmer Carl; and fiancé, Arnold Morris.

A Celebration of Life Gathering, hosted by the family, will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29th in the Party Room at Family Table in Atlantic.
