Listen to Obituary

Larry Will, 63, of Atlantic, Iowa, died Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Atlantic Specialty Care.

Larry Dale was born on November 14, 1962, in Atlantic, Iowa, the son of Shirley Ann Will. For the most part he grew up and attended school in Atlantic, except for a brief time in Utah. He was blessed with three children, Gayle, Nicole and Tyler.

Larry worked his entire life in concrete construction and being a mechanic, turning wrenches on semi’s was his favorite.

His hobbies included going to car shows, riding his motorcycle and fishing. Larry wasn’t picky about where he threw a line in the water as long as he could be fishing. He was a heck of a cook and griller; family favorites were his breakfasts and having a fish fry.

Even though there were rough patches he loved his kids and they loved him the same. They are thankful he raised them to be tough and stand up for themselves. Larry had a huge heart for his grandkids! He looked forward to spending time with them fishing, grilling, swimming, camping and playing chase with them.

His personality was a little gruff and stubborn but he also had a goofy side that made you smile. Larry had his way and was determined to show you it. His scrappy, don’t mess with me, I tell you what I think attitude, was with him to the end.

Larry is survived by his children, Gayle Will, Nicole Will and Tyler Will; grandchildren, Constance, Daymian, Hailey, Marissa, Connor, Dominic, Charli, Damain and Alex; siblings, Christy Will and John Eichelberger; and nieces, nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Shirley Will and aunt, Judy Baier.

The family will hold a cookout in his memory at a later date.

Roland Funeral Service is caring for Larry’s family and his arrangements. Condolences may be left at www.rolandfuneralservice.com.
