MADELINE GRIFFIN

Miss Madeline Griffin died Tuesday evening, March 18, 2008, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic.
Miss Griffin was the daughter of James P. and Catherine (Connor) Griffin, who preceded her in death as did her sister, Marjorie Groll, in 1994. Marjorie’s husband, George, passed away in 1990.
She was a graduate of Atlantic High School and Iowa State University with a degree in English. She was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Company for 47 years, retiring as Chief of Personnel Training.
A native of Atlantic, Madeline had resided in Chicago for 55 years before returning in 2001 to Atlantic to live in her parents’ old home at 600 Locust Street.
She is survived by two cousins, Mercedes Beschorner of Wiota and Charles Griffin and wife, Cathleen, of Atlantic.

Funeral Information

Services for Madeline will be held on Tuesday, March 25 at 10:30 AM at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Daniel Siepker officiating. An open visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, at the church from noon until the Rosary at 7:00 PM in the evening. Interment will be in the SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Atlantic.
