NORMA (GOETTSCH) WAGGONER Norma Waggoner, 81, life long resident of Atlantic, Iowa passed on, March 7, 2008 a t the Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, following a lengthy illness. Norma Leota Goettsch was born the daughter of Edward and Marion (Hansen) Goettsch on April 22, 1926 in Atlantic, Iowa. She attended school in Atlantic and graduated with the Atlantic High School class of 1943. Norma married Jack Duane Waggoner on June 8, 1946 at the Gretna Green Wedding Chapel in Yuma, Arizona. The couple was blessed with two daughters. She was a member of the United Church of Christ. She was secretary for JC Penney Store, Walnut Grove, Sears and Roebuck, Fast Oil Company, IDS American Express and Pymosa School Board. The couple farmed north of Atlantic for ten years. Norma will be remembered as being family oriented. Her family and friends will treasure their memories of how she liked her flowers, enjoyed dancing and was a wonderful cook. She loved spending time with her family, loved to travel and loved getting home. She is survived by her husband Jack Waggoner; two daughters, Linda Elliott of Omaha and Debra Waggoner of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and grandchildren, Tonya Elliott of Houston, Texas and Nicole Elliott of Los Angeles, California. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Alvin Goettsch. Funeral Information
