CORA MABEL (HELLER) KAISER
Cora Kaiser, a longtime resident of Anita, Iowa, passed away at the Colonial Manor in Anita on Friday, February 29, 2008 at the age of 92.
Cora was born to Charles L. and Dora A. (Bainbridge) Heller on August 25, 1915 and was the oldest of 7 children. She attended the Ideal Star Valley School and graduated from the Winner High School in
Winner, South Dakota while boarding at her grandparent’s home. Cora assisted families as a housemaid in Omaha, Nebraska then later worked at General Electric. She was united in marriage to Earl Robert Kaiser in Omaha on August 31, 1940. They resided in Omaha until 1952 when they moved near Anita and farmed. After their retirement, they moved into Anita. Cora worked in the kitchen at Colonial Manor then later she was a volunteer there and was a member of the Silver Thread and garden clubs in Anita. She was also a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are sons, Terry of Anita and David of Mansfield, Missouri; daughters, Donna (Steve) Beltz of Safford, Arizona and Mary Christensen of Glenville, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; siblings, Marcella Owens of Valpariso, IN, Wayne (Lois) Heller of Winner, SD, Lowdon Heller of Ideal, SD and Melba Veren of Gregory, SD.
Cora was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Earl; two brothers, Alva Heller and Kenneth Heller and a son Rolland.
